Introduction :

Industrial Relations dynamics in a market driven competitive environment is not only determined by survival pressures on organizations but is also significantly impacted by an acute sense of insecurity and uncertainty leading to the rise of employee disenchantment and the resurgence of employee collectivization and collective protective action by employees. HR managers suddenly find themselves with the challenge of dealing with the changing scenario. Learning to understand and deal with differences and disputes built into the emerging employment relations reality becomes an imperative. It follows therefore that HR managers need to bridge the gap between current capability and the emerging needs of organizations.

Learning Objectives :

This programme, titled “Disputes Resolution Skills for Human Resource Managers” meets this need and will make an attempt to introduce participants to three approaches to disputes resolution and 7 critical skills sets identified through long years of engagement with IR and HR practitioners.

Expected Participant :

Senior HR and IR managers.

Coverage :

The three day programme will be an intense engagement with participants on the innovative and practice relevant “3 Approaches-7 Skills” Matrix to improve skills in managing workplace differences and disputes in a proactive and professional manner.

Pedagogy :

The programme will build on the knowledge and experiences of the participants while simultaneously helping participants to acquire requisite knowledge and relevant skills to deal with industrial relations and its management. Cases and Role Plays will be the main vehicles in the teaching-learning processes. The skills exposure process during the programme through the use of case and experiential pedagogy will also sensitize participants to the emerging social, political, economic and environment and the current status of industrial relations.
