Introduction & Objectives :

Industrial relations have been changing as economic contexts have become volatile and less predictable, labour laws and regulations are changing, labour administration is issuing new regulations and new forms of workers’ organizations and protests take place. Further, trade union movement is also undergoing some new energies, newer coordination mechanisms and so on. Their perspectives are changing and so are their strategies. Workers’ aspirations are changing. The middle level managers should have an understanding of these contextual changes and respond to them suitably.

The objectives are:

  • To provide a rich and comprehensive introduction of the contextual changes specifically in three areas, economic, legal and governance and institutional;
  • To keep the managers abreast of changing and emerging trends in industrial relations and new methods of governance and the global and national obligations arising;
  • To provide tools for understanding and grasping changes that are taking place in the firm and in the larger levels;
  • To talk of change management in Industrial Relations;
  • To discuss specific problem

Methodology :

The MDP would adopt three methods, viz. knowledge provision, interactive methods, and case studies.
