EMP for Defence Officers

The Seventh batch of students from the Executive Management Program for the defence personnel, comprising officers from the armed forces are making a transition to their second career.

This course has been specially designed for Armed Forces Officers, keeping in view their varied experience in varied fields they have worked, both in peace and operational areas. The Officers are a repository of rich and diverse experience those are indeed hard to match. This experience bolstered with values like integrity, confidence and enthusiasm to learn has transformed them into a precious asset for the corporate world. They have already applied various management principles and practices in the armed forces. At XLRI we have successfully helped them transcend and adapt to corporate culture, ethics and practices.

The program for the group has been structured with a focus on theoretical formulation and is designed to augment and adapt these Officers’ varied experience to discipline and functional areas relevant to management of business. The academic program provides the required competitive edge to the participants enabling them to shoulder responsibilities with a cutting edge dimension. Their demeanor and maturity, as well as the dedication to learning would make an effect on anyone who interacts with them. The mix of rich and diverse experience, coupled with inputs given at XLRI, amalgamates to groom effective managers for the corporate world.

The Defence Officers would conclude their course on 24 Mar 2012.
