DRACULA
" We seek to employ fun practices, in organizing a high quality of varied entertainment content, which stimulate the creative potential of a diverse student fraternity."
If names are anything to go by, this particular association is as full of surprises as the meaning of its name and its expansion! What images does a typical leading B-school conjure up in your mind… stressed out people, high-strung nerves, short fuse tempers due to never ending work pressures? The less said the better!! From such a taxing routine, what gives them the occasional respite?? No prizes for guessing, it is our important society Dracula, run by a bunch of enthusiastic people who bring back the realizations every now 'n then that there is a lot more to life than lots 'n lots of work 'n pots 'n pots of money!
Imagine the scenario-people going crazy about midterms, end terms, and project deadlines. Sleep starved zombies running around printing out projects or just last minute cramming. The various hues of contact lenses, which were proudly exhibited during the summer months, find their way into all sorts of boxes and the much-neglected, unfashionable glasses find their way onto the noses of students trying to cram up the course in about a week. In the middle of all this frenzy, their last hope at retaining their sanity is the host of events organized by Dracula, the society that gets your creative juices flowing and gives you the much- needed distraction from your hectic (understatement of the year!) schedule. If its jazzy music you're looking for, if its brainteasers like quizzes or JAMs that entice your imagination or if you just want to have a nice time, Count Dracula beckons you to his new abode, XLRI (Transylvania is history, our Dracula keeps up with the times!). The count will live up to his reputation and will make your stay at his abode a pleasant and memorable one (remember how he took such good care of the beauties?). But here history shall part ways with reality because you shall leave the walls of XLRI much more culturally aware and a connoisseur of the arts, as against the old times where our Dracula, for want of anything better to do, found great pleasure in retaining your services for his mundane (??) nourishment needs. He has risen above the plethora of such petty pastimes and has taken unto himself the task of ensuring your cultural and aesthetic refinement. So if you are the kinds who love a challenge, the kinds who believe in developing your creative talents, then Dracula is the society for you!
The Count awaits you with his glistening fangs………
