Prior to joining XLRI, he served on the faculty of SPJIMR and Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, where he taught courses in Strategic Human Resource Management, Talent Management, HR Analytics, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior. His interdisciplinary training across management, economics, psychology, and engineering enables him to bring a distinctive systems perspective to understanding organizations and human behavior.
Dr. Maheshwari's research focuses on the future of work, artificial intelligence and HRM, managerial cognition, sustainable organizations, employee well-being, and strategic human resource management. His work examines how emerging technologies, changing workforce expectations, and sustainability imperatives are transforming organizations and redefining the relationship between people and work.
His research has been published in leading international journals, including Organization & Environment, Personnel Review, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, and International Journal of Conflict Management. His scholarship seeks to bridge rigorous academic inquiry with practical organizational challenges, generating insights that are relevant for researchers, business leaders, and policymakers alike.
